I've heard of the many high grade jaspers found in eastern Oregon referred to as 'porcelain' jaspers, but these should not be confused with the Porcelain Jasper that comes from barely the other side of the border to the southwest US.

Porcelain Jasper is mostly white with violet and purple color throughout. The good stuff has some striking patterns. I've also heard this jasper called Science Fiction Jasper as well. Perhaps because the colors and designs are sometimes out of this world.
