Brazilian Agate is another one of the plentiful stones that will be part of most rockhound collections. Just about everything has been made from this agate; cabs, beads, wind chimes, lamps, table tops, and lighting sconses.
Most Brazilian agates are found in nature as spheroids. You never know what you'll find until you cut one open. Rarely you'll find colors of the rainbow, but most of the time it's a dull brown/tan translucent with concentric fortifications. I've also seen Brazilians sold in kitschy gift shops that have been dyed to every day-glo color possible.
