Wonderstone is a name that has been attributed to stone that comes from several locations.  I've also seen it confused with Hickoryite.  It's a type of rhyolite, usually with bright swirls of orange, yellow and red.  It might be confused with some sandstones at first glance, except that it's much harder, and usually has a waxy surface.  It polishes nicely and the patterns tend to set each cut apart.
