Moroccan Agate comes from the High Atlas mountains of Morocco on the northwest corner of the African continent.  This is a very hard material that polishes well and has an endless variety of colors and patterns.  I have acquired rough from vendors in Quartzsite, Tucson, and even Pennsylvania.

I love to cut this material because every rock is different, and it never disappoints!  This is one of the rocks that I watch for at the gem and mineral shows, and the vendors can always expect a purchase from me.
