Just as every stone is unique in its composition, color, and pattern, it is further rendered unique by the shape I cut it. Add the rarity of the stone and it becomes a candidate for showcasing by setting in a silver or wire wrap finding.
I find a certain integrity in the stone and metal composition of a piece. Using various brass, nickel, copper, and silver I experiment in variations of stone settings, although never tiring of the reward that a simple bezel setting provides.
